Financial Aid
This section should be completed by a student with the help of a parent/guardian. The camp fee is $800, and an application fee is $50. ROAR Academy awards full and partial scholarships based on financial need. However, financial aid is awarded based on need and available funds. Full scholarships are automatically granted if you qualify for one of the following programs: - Free or reduced lunch at school - CalFresh - Medi-Cal If your family cannot afford camp but does not qualify for one of the above programs, you may still be eligible for a full or partial scholarship. To be considered for a scholarship, please email hc_kuan@berkeley.edu to request a scholarship application. While ROAR Academy does not request documentation of a family's financial need when an application is submitted, ROAR Academy reserves the right to request this documentation during the application review process.

Advances in modern technologies are for the most part the result of teamwork and open-source culture. In the Berkeley ROAR competition you would participate by the end of the Academy, we also encourage you to work as teams and in this process find a group of other talented classmates you may call friends in your future careers.
